Kenny Moore II to receive prestigious community-based award at Circle City Classic

The Indiana Black Expo is set to honor former Indianapolis Colts cornerback Kenny Moore II with the Major Taylor Award at the Circle City Classic Coaches Luncheon. The award, named after the first Black world champion in cycling, recognizes athletes who have made significant contributions both in sports and their communities. Moore, through his Love One Foundation, launched the Rise and Shine Initiative in 2024, an initiative focused on preparing students for life beyond the classroom through weekly mentorship sessions.

Moore, who was undrafted and signed with the Colts in 2017, spent nine seasons in Indianapolis before requesting a release in May. He expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that the award signifies the city's commitment to him and his decade-long dedication to the community.
