Kebbi gov condemns killing of Lafagu village head, vows justice, stronger security

Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has strongly condemned the killing of Lafagu village head, Alhaji Saidu Mujeli, and pledged that those responsible would face justice. The governor expressed grave concern over the security situation in Kaoje, particularly in the Lafagu and Buya communities, where lives were tragically lost and residents displaced.

In a statement to journalists, Idris' Chief Press Secretary revealed that his administration is collaborating closely with security forces to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attacks.

Idris conveyed deep sadness and concern over the unfortunate incidents that took place around Kaoje, resulting in the loss of the village head and others. He assured residents who had fled their homes, farmlands, and businesses that the government is working diligently to restore conditions for their safe return and the resumption of normal activities.

The governor also extended his condolences to the families of the deceased, including District Head of Kaoje Alhaji Mustapha Usman Kaoje, Sarkin Yamma Yakubu Abubakar Kaoje, and other affected community and political leaders.

The governor urged residents to remain calm and cooperate fully with security agencies by providing any information that could aid efforts to bring those responsible to justice.
