The team's head coach, Scott Arniel, noted that the change will throw off their regular routines during the majority of their 84-game season, which runs from November 1 to March 14. This will result in a one-hour difference for all teams in the Central Division, making it seem as though the Jets are now playing on Eastern time, without gaining any extra time.

As a result, the Jets have had to adjust their travel schedules, with game times shifting an hour later for home and away games. This change will impact the team's performance and recovery time, as the team will no longer gain an hour when returning from eastern time zone games and will face longer travel times when returning from western time zone games.
