JAMB opens SIM, email update for candidates who lost access

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system to allow candidates who have lost access to their registered phone numbers or email addresses to update their information. This policy change was announced on Monday via JAMB's official X account, with the service commencing on September 21, 2026. The new system is only available at designated JAMB Computer-Based Test centres and state offices (where applicable).

Candidates are only allowed to use this service once, and it is subject to strict identity and biometric verification to ensure security. JAMB urged candidates to use only authorized centres and avoid unauthorised persons or channels during this process. The announcement is part of JAMB's JCARE and JAMB Updates initiatives, aimed at providing a secure and controlled process for candidates to update their registered details.
