IFP president Hlabisa pledges clean governance at KZN rally

Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) President Velinkosini Hlabisa addressed supporters at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, north of Durban. Hlabisa pledged to lead the IFP municipality with clean governance and a focus on serving its residents. He promised to maintain essential infrastructure, support local employment and enterprise, and appoint competent professionals.

Hlabisa emphasized the party's commitment to respect for traditional and Khoisan leadership, as well as protecting vulnerable communities. The IFP party is dedicated to a service delivery approach, which includes preventative maintenance to avoid crises and a partnership with communities to resolve problems promptly. The party plans to establish various channels, including online, telephone, and ward-based systems, for residents to report infrastructure issues.

Hlabisa highlighted the importance of recognizing the voice of traditional leaders and Khoisan leaders in rural and historically marginalized communities. The IFP aims to ensure communities have uninterrupted access to water and electricity by curbing unnecessary outsourcing of municipal tasks.
