Grief engulf Mankranso as residents mourn late DCE Abubakar Sedik

Mankranso, a bustling community in the Ahafo Ano South West District, has descended into mourning after the sudden demise of its District Chief Executive, Abubakar Sedik. The usually lively town has fallen into a somber mood as residents, family, friends, sympathizers, and members of the National Democratic Congress congregate to mourn the late DCE and offer condolences to his loved ones.

Sedik's death, reported to be the result of a brief illness, has left the residents and colleagues struggling to process the unexpected loss. At his home, the grief is palpable as mourners steadily arrive to pay their final respects, some visibly weeping while others gather in quiet contemplation of the news.

For many in Mankranso, the loss is especially poignant due to the sudden nature of the announcement. Sedik had remained active in official engagements in Kumasi just prior to his passing, most recently attending a meeting that centered on the completion of the Kejetia Phase Two project. The assembly included leaders from trader groups and the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs.

Upon returning to Mankranso, Sedik reportedly experienced body pains and was promptly taken to the hospital, where he tragically passed away.
