Forgent completes additional drilling at Curley’s prospect
Australian gold exploration firm Forgent plc (AIM:FORG) has completed an additional drilling programme at its Curley’s prospect within the Peak Hill Gold-Copper Project. The company drilled 12 new holes, spaced about 20 meters apart, around a Phase I drilling intersection that yielded 2 meters of gold mineralisation at 3.68 grams per tonne.
The drilling aimed to extend the strike and continuity of the gold mineralised zone. The additional holes were drilled following a site visit review of progress. Now, the total drilling at Peak Hill stands at 56 holes and 2,771 meters, with 30 holes targeting the Curley’s prospect and 26 holes at the Cathedral. Forgent holds a 99% stake in the Peak Hill Gold-Copper Project.
Samples from the drilling programme will undergo laboratory analysis. The additional drilling programme was initially announced on September 15, 2026.
