Former Manchester United forward Michael Owen has voiced his confusion over Marcus Rashford's visibly downcast expression during the 1-1 draw against Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday. The game saw Fulham take the lead through an own goal by Lisandro Martinez in the 63rd minute, with Matheus Cunha equalising for United in the closing moments.

Rashford, 28, was among the starting lineup but struggled to make an impact, appearing disjointed and dissatisfied in his attacking position. Owen remarked, "I don't understand the glum face. He just doesn't seem to be enjoying his football. He's the weak link in the attack as things stand. He's 28 now. He should be in his prime.

He should be absolutely tearing defences apart." Despite his loan from Barcelona last season, Rashford has yet to score or create a goal in six competitive matches this season, featuring in all five league games, including four starts, and playing the full 80 minutes in United's 3-2 home loss to Brighton & Hove Albion in the EFL Cup last week.

With an underwhelming start to the new season, mounting pressure is being placed on Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick, who has seen his team go without a win in three consecutive games across all competitions.
