The temperature at kickoff was approximately 95 degrees, with a heat index of around 105 degrees. The surface temperature of the artificial turf reportedly reached a scorching 157 degrees Fahrenheit, according to television broadcasts.

Both teams faced challenges due to the oppressive heat, with players on the Titans seen spraying water on their cleats, and both sidelines employing fans, cooling equipment, fluids, and wet towels to combat the heat. Head coach Sirianni commented, “It was hot as s—,” and acknowledged the players' efforts in overcoming the harsh conditions.

Offensive lineman Cam Jurgens reported that his feet were still burning after the game, necessitating multiple pairs of cleats due to the heat-induced issues with the footwear. Defensive tackle Jordan Mailata also expressed concerns about the playing surface, noting he rolled his ankles twice and suspected that the softened plastic on the cleat soles contributed to the problem.

Mailata even suggested that the NFL Players Association should advocate for the elimination of turf fields in light of these conditions. While the Eagles had arrived in Nashville a day early for Friday's walkthrough and made extra hydration and cooling provisions during the game, they still managed to overcome a 20-17 deficit with just 1:56 remaining.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts orchestrated a nine-play, 65-yard touchdown drive, culminating in a crucial 3-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Darius Cooper with nine seconds left on the clock. Saquon Barkley left the game with a stinger but returned in the second half, while Dallas Goedert exited with a knee injury.
