Daredevil: Born Again Will Reportedly End With Season 3, Showrunner Departs Amidst Post-Production

Daredevil: Born Again is set to conclude with its third season, according to recent reports from The Hollywood Reporter. The show will not return for a fourth season, with Disney's decision made after the completion of the third season's production. The Marvel series' showrunner, Dario Scardapane, left the project during post-production, leaving the show without a designated leader to finish it.

Season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again is anticipated to premiere in 2027, though it remains uncertain whether the series was canceled or if it concludes here. Despite not being a ratings sensation, the series received critical and fan acclaim, particularly in comparison to other Marvel shows. Disney has been phasing out Marvel TV series recently due to underperforming releases, but still supports a select few.

The upcoming Marvel show will be VisionQuest, airing on October 14, with three to five other shows in development, including a spy series called Zodiac. Wonder Man was canceled earlier this summer even though it had been greenlit for a second season. The future of Daredevil in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) remains unclear, with fans hoping for a film appearance after his brief cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

This is the second time the Man Without Fear has had his TV time cut short at the third season, with the original Daredevil series being pulled from Netflix in 2018 after a critically-acclaimed third season. After a decade-long wait, fans were thrilled to see Daredevil return, especially due to its darker tone and continuation of the original show's story.
