This week, the Minister of Youth and Childhood, Sira Rego, estimated that between 500 and 700 minors are still on the streets of Ceuta. She accused the government of Juan Jesús Vivas of politicizing the situation, stating that they are no longer considering accommodation options for children on the peninsula, despite previously seeing it as viable.

In an interview with Cadena SER, Rego also called for an internal self-criticism of all institutions. Meanwhile, the leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, is meeting with the President of the European People's Party, Manfred Weber, and Vivas in Ceuta. The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, is also traveling to the city to visit the Temporary Reception Center for Foreigners (CATE), where migrants who arrived at the end of July from Morocco are assessed to be redirected for asylum or deportation processes.

Additionally, former President of the Valencian Community, Carlos Mazón, appears before the 2024 Spring Session Commission in the Congress.
