Civilian casualties from Russian strikes on Ukraine up 55% — UN

Ukraine has neglected one Russian drone-control technology for a year, and the country's top technology adviser, Serhii Beskrestnov, known as Flash, now warns that the next threat from Russia could be even worse. Flash argues that once Russia completes its Rassvet satellite network, Moscow could potentially control its Geran-5 drones and missiles from space.

This would give Russia a permanent link to its long-range weapons, allowing it to steer its long-range weapons online through satellites. Flash describes this situation as a "small catastrophe." Russia currently has around 32 satellites, but needs 200 to 250 for stable, round-the-clock coverage. Its most recent batch of satellites has stalled in low orbit.

The adviser warns that Ukraine must build the jamming technology to counter Russia's MESH radio networks before they are fully operational, as simply delaying the completion of the Rassvet satellite network may not be enough.
