CDA Cancels Centaurus Mall’s Temporary Site Permission

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has terminated the temporary site permission granted to Centaurus Mall management, ordering the company to vacate the land within seven days of receiving notice. The notice, issued on September 11, 2026, pertains to an eight kanal site near Plot No. 1 in Islamabad's Blue Area. The land was previously allocated for temporary offices and marketing purposes, linked to the plot.

Upon inspection, CDA officials discovered unauthorized labor accommodations in containers, toilets, a temporary mosque, badminton courts, and construction materials at the site. The authority found no legitimate marketing offices and concluded that the observed uses violated the conditions of the permission. Moreover, the two-year permission had expired without renewal.

The CDA revoked the permission with immediate effect and demanded that the management pay the outstanding dues of Rs. 48.45 million. The authority cautioned that the land would be cleared at the management's expense and risk if vacated was not completed within the seven-day deadline. This notice specifically targets the temporary site and does not encompass the full Centaurus Mall establishment.
