(Asiad) Lee Bo-mi wins bronze in mixed martial arts' debut

Nagoya: Malaysian wushu competitor Jia Rong finished 10th in the women's changquan final at the Asian Games, despite a series of challenges. The 22-year-old's routine earned her a score of 9.670 from the judges at the Aichi Prefectural Martial Arts Hall. Jia Rong's teammate, Loh Ying Ting, placed 11th with a score of 9.666.

Jia Rong had a difficult journey to Nagoya, including a visa issue that left her stranded in China for about 10 hours before her flight was sorted out. The hip injury she has had for a month did not hinder her performance. She felt nervous as this was her first Asian Games, but she managed to perform well and avoid any mistakes. Jia Rong was happy to compete alongside her senior, Ying Ting, in a tough event.

Hong Kong's Lydia Sham won the gold medal with a score of 9.713, while Macau's Sou Cho Man secured the silver with 9.710. Indonesia's Eugenia Diva finished third with a score of 9.706. Malaysia's Tan Cheong Min will represent her country in the women's nanquan and nandao final on Tuesday, aiming to win another medal after finishing second in the same event at the Hangzhou Games.
