Arab Parliament condemns Al-Aqsa Mosque incursions and violations in Jerusalem

The Arab Parliament Speaker, Mohammed Al-Yamahi, delivered a vehement condemnation of Israeli settlers and officials entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Al-Yamahi denounced the incursions with military backing, as well as the practice of Talmudic rituals and prayers within the mosque complex. He emphasized that these actions signal a dangerous escalation and breach of the established status quo at the revered site.

Al-Yamahi also denounced Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to tunnels and excavations near the Buraq Wall in occupied Jerusalem. He firmly stated that such actions cannot alter historical and legal realities or undermine the Arab and Islamic identity of Jerusalem and its sacred sites. The Speaker reaffirmed that the entirety of the Al-Aqsa Mosque is an exclusively Islamic site, and the Buraq Wall is part of Islamic holy places.

Calling on the international community and the UN Security Council, Al-Yamahi urged them to fulfill their responsibilities, stop these violations, and compel the occupation to comply with international law and pertinent UN resolutions. He urged an end to unilateral and provocative actions in occupied Jerusalem, asserting that Jerusalem will remain a top priority for the Arab world. Al-Yamahi emphasized that any attempts to impose new realities through force will not alter the fact that Jerusalem is an occupied city.
