ANC promises political stability in Nelson Mandela Bay Metro

The African National Congress (ANC) has pledged to maintain political stability in Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, a region that has faced challenges due to coalition conflicts and difficulties in delivering services. ANC Chairperson Gwede Mantashe recently campaigned in KwaZakhele, Gqeberha, on Sunday. The party is now advocating for an outright majority win, seeking support from residents in Gqeberha.

Mantashe stressed that if the ANC fails to provide leadership in the Government of National Unity, the metro could collapse. He emphasized, "What is more important is that the ANC is the biggest component, and the ANC provides leadership in those issues, and we continue doing so; if we don’t do that, the metro will collapse." Mantashe also clarified the process for selecting proportional representation candidates and addressed an issue involving ANC NEC Member Cde Andile Lungisa.
