Actor Rajesh Tailang On His Scenes Getting Cut In Films, 10 Year Struggle Period, TV vs Films, Mirzapur And More

Rajesh Tailang, known for his roles in Mirzapur (2018-) and Delhi Crime (2019), has been a frequent presence in television series such as Bandish Bandits (2020) and Trial By Fire (2023). However, he spent over a decade without significant acting roles. In an interview, Tailang revealed how he supported himself during this period.

He left Mumbai for Delhi due to limited work opportunities and a desire to explore other creative avenues, including writing, directing, and teaching at the National School of Drama. Despite receiving offers for minor roles, he was selective in his acting pursuits. His acting career began with Shanti, India's first daily soap, where he appeared in over 300 episodes.

Following this, Tailang went on to act in notable films like Siddharth (2013) and The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2015). He recounted a situation where his scenes were cut from Lakshya (2004), but the cast and crew remained professional throughout the ordeal.
