10 days of mourning declared in Dubai after death of Sheikh Ahmed

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has expressed deep sorrow over the recent demise of his brother, Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. In a statement on social media platform X, the President conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Mohammed bin Rashid for the loss of his sibling, highlighting the former's significant contributions to the United Arab Emirates' growth and development since the nation's inception.

Sheikh Ahmed's passing, the President added, is a somber reminder of the values of progress and devotion that his brother exemplified throughout his life. The Dubai Ruler’s Court officially mourned Sheikh Ahmed's passing, instituting a period of ten days of official mourning within the emirate. During this time, flags were flown at half-staff as a mark of respect and to honor the departed leader.
