‘Why can’t we live well?’: Kangana backs Maithili over Rolls-Royce ride to Lalbaugcha Raja

Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has defended Bihar MLA and singer Maithili Thakur after she faced criticism for arriving at Mumbai's Lalbaugcha Raja in a Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The young politician visited the famous pandal for Ganeshotsav on September 15, where she waved at people and posed for pictures before entering the venue.

Kangana posted on her Instagram Stories, questioning why politicians are expected to live modestly when they have their own careers and sources of income. She argued that politicians can "live well" too, as they are not solely reliant on public funds and are passionate about public welfare. Maithili Thakur's arrival in the Rolls-Royce sparked online debates about her ownership of the luxury SUV, as her election affidavit listed only a Honda Activa and other assets worth Rs 3.82 crore.
