Who is Justin Bowick? Meet the WR who joined Oklahoma State football 'to be explosive'

Justin Bowick, a redshirt senior at Oklahoma State, has become a standout receiver for the Cowboys this season. Entering Saturday, Bowick had not achieved a 100-yard receiving game in 676 days. However, on Saturday, he responded with nine catches for 178 yards and two touchdowns in OSU’s 59-0 victory over Murray State. The wide receiver, who transferred from Illinois to OSU in January, expressed his excitement at finally experiencing a high-volume performance.

Bowick's breakout season at Illinois had previously seen him record a 171-yard, 1TD game against Miami (Ohio) and a 148-yard, 2TD game against Buffalo. After recovering from a torn Achilles tendon suffered before his senior year of high school, Bowick found success at the Division I level. Playing under coach Eric Morris, Bowick has thrived in a wide-open offense that has led the nation in passing yards per game.

The 6-foot-5, 209-pound Bowick's athleticism and strength have earned him praise from teammates and coaches, cementing his position as a key contributor to OSU's success.
