His Royal Majesty (HRM) Dr Ishaku Adda Ali, the Aku-Uka of Wukari in Taraba state, has sounded the alarm over the security crisis engulfing the Kwararafa kingdom. Speaking at the 2026 Kwararafa People’s Assembly meeting in Abuja, Dr Ali stressed that the old Kwararafa Confederacy has been under siege by bandits recently. Communities in states including Benue, Kogi, Taraba, Southern Kaduna, Nasarawa, Plateau, and Niger have been devastated by banditry, herders-farmers violence, and the orchestrated displacement of people, leading to an exodus of thousands into refugee status within their own country.
