'Those Who Stole Reservation Are Lecturing Us Today; Those Who Insulted Ambedkar Are Now Talking About Respect': UP Minister Anil Rajbhar

UP Cabinet Minister Anil Rajbhar directed scathing criticism towards Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav over allegations relating to the BJP government's reservation policies, the Dalit community, and Dr B.R. Ambedkar. Rajbhar accused Yadav of misleading the people of Uttar Pradesh by avoiding interaction with them. He pointed out that the SP had recently begun discussing reservation, despite its alleged mismanagement of the issue during its previous four terms in office.

Rajbhar further claimed that OBCs and extremely backward communities were deprived of reservation benefits during SP rule, and now, the party seeks to reclaim those benefits. He alleged that incidents of vandalizing Dr Ambedkar's statues occurred between 2012 and 2017 during the SP government's tenure, suggesting a conspiracy to incite social discord.

Rajbhar also criticized the party for protecting those responsible for such acts of vandalism and questioned SP leader Azam Khan's remarks about Dr Ambedkar being the "biggest land mafia" in the state. He further pointed out the inconsistency in SP leaders' views on Dr Ambedkar, who they once insulted but now seek to honor. Rajbhar warned that the people of Uttar Pradesh would not be misled and were well aware of the SP's true nature.
