Thai Airways flies higher in global rankings

Thai Airways has announced that it has made significant strides in the global airline rankings, with the carrier now sitting at 20th place in the Skytrax World Airline Awards. The airline has ascended nine spots from last year's ranking of 29th. Singapore Airlines reclaimed the top position this year, having previously been overtaken by Qatar Airways the previous year.

Thai Airways' economy class ranked 15th, demonstrating a five-place improvement from the previous year. Cathay Pacific Airways led the economy class category. Thai Airways' cabin crew achieved a ranking of 10th, up one place from the previous year. The airline's top accolade was in the best airport services category, where it climbed to 7th place from 11th last year, with All Nippon Airways leading the ranking.

Thai Airways, which completed its rehabilitation last year, has vowed to continue raising the bar and aims for even higher rankings in the future. CEO Chai Eamsiri was recognized by the Bangkok Post as CEO of the Year for his efforts in steering the airline out of financial difficulties.
