Technology And Indian Heritage Must Shape Education, Says Swami Avadheshanand In Ujjain

Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh: Swami Avadheshanand Giri, the Juna Peethadhishwar, emphasized on Saturday that education must continuously evolve, incorporating technology and innovation while staying true to India's scriptural heritage, such as the Vedas and Puranas. Speaking to media, he commended the New Education Policy (NEP) under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration, noting its reception in global academic circles.

When questioned about opposition efforts led by Rahul Gandhi, he remarked that all political parties primarily serve public welfare and national progress. Regarding healthcare, Swami Avadheshanand deemed public medical care an urgent matter, highlighting free medical centers operating across his ashrams. Addressing the Generation Z, he invoked examples like Nachiketa, Shvetaketu, Lord Ram, Lord Krishna, Chanakya, and Chandragupta to underscore the youth's pivotal role in nation-building.

He praised young Indians for their technological proficiency and constructive mindset, introducing terms like "bhajan clubbing" and "bhajan gaming." He advocated for respectful platforms for open discourse among young people. Concerning potential UPI taxation and accusations of foreign manipulation, Swami Avadheshanand affirmed that India functions without external pressures.

He considered UPI a groundbreaking advancement and, referring to his recent visit to the US, asserted that nations including the US, France, and Singapore lacked a digital payment system as comprehensive and seamless. He emphasized that tax-related decisions lay within the government's purview.
