Saudi family transforms lifelong home into private museum

A Saudi family has converted their beloved family home into a private museum, preserving cherished memories and heritage for visitors, according to Al Arabiya. Despite modernization and development in the Kingdom, the significance of memories, nostalgia, and heritage remains strong among Saudis. The decision to turn their lifelong residence into a museum and tourist attraction was inspired by this sentiment.

Manour Al-Rashidi, the family patriarch, revealed that his wife, children, and he decided to document their memories in the house, which they believed deserved preservation. His wife added that the house carries the scent of their ancestors. Their son, Salem, explained that the house holds central importance to his mother's heritage, as she manages and cares for it, spending most of her time there, nurturing its culture and spirit. He emphasized that this old legacy is a part of her.
