Saudi Arabia marks 96th National Day in Doha

Saudi Arabia marked its 96th National Day in Doha, with Ambassador Prince Saad bin Mansour bin Saad al-Saud emphasizing the deep fraternal ties and shared destiny between the two nations. The envoy highlighted the long history of communication and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Qatar, supported by the sincere will of both leaderships to advance relations to new heights.

During the event, Prince Saad recalled the founding of the Saudi kingdom by King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman al-Saud and the establishment of a state built on unity, security, and stability. He praised the achievements of the current era under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, and expressed hope for the kingdom's success in serving the interests of its people.

The eighth meeting of the Saudi-Qatari Co-ordination Council, co-chaired by Prince Mohammed and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, marked a pivotal milestone in bilateral relations, according to Prince Saad. The meeting produced numerous initiatives, agreements, and memoranda of understanding, including the high-speed electric railway project connecting the two countries.

Prince Saad noted that the kingdom's celebration in Qatar holds special significance, given the strong fraternal ties and ongoing cooperation between the two nations. He highlighted the commencement of his duties in Doha coinciding with the meeting of the Saudi-Qatari Co-ordination Council, signifying the beginning of an advanced phase in the relationship.

Recent regional developments demonstrated the depth of cooperation and coordination between Saudi Arabia and Qatar, emphasized Prince Saad. The envoy praised Qatar's leadership, recalling the significant contributions of the late Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani to the nation's renaissance and development. He also acknowledged Doha's success in hosting major regional and international events, cementing its status as a vital hub.
