Russian Strikes Kill Mother, 2 Children in Kyiv Region

Russian strikes on the Kyiv region on Saturday evening resulted in the death of a woman and her two young children in the Fastiv district, according to regional authorities. The strikes targeted a residential sector, causing significant damage to private dwellings and a passenger vehicle. The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, confirmed the fatalities, explaining that the attack occurred as a family sought refuge inside their home.

Emergency crews extinguished the resulting fire, and four injured residents were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, a separate attack on the shopping center in the central city of Dnipro injured at least four civilians. The city's military administration head, Oleksandr Hanzha, reported that the incident caused a major commercial fire and released video footage of the destruction.

The strikes follow a drone attack on a residential home in the Kharkiv region earlier that day, which killed four civilians and led to a municipal day of mourning.
