Russia stocks lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia Index unchanged

After the close of trade on Sunday, Russia stocks faced a decline, with the MOEX Russia Index remaining unchanged at 0.00%. Among the top performers of the day were Rosneft PJSC, which saw a rise of 0.94% or 3.40 points to 363.75, ROSSETI PJSC, which stayed flat at 0.05, and Surgutneftegas PJSC, which increased by 0.45% or 0.18 points to 40.63.

Conversely, the worst performers included AK ALROSA PJSC, which dropped by 1.13% or 0.22 points to 19.25, Magnit PJSC, which decreased by 0.96% or 15.00 points to 1,555.00, and Aeroflot PJSC, which fell by 0.95% or 0.31 points to 32.23. The Moscow Stock Exchange experienced 133 stocks that fell, compared to 99 that advanced, with 18 ending unchanged.

The Russian Volatility Index, a measure of the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, stayed unchanged at 33.97. Gold Futures for December delivery rose by 0.37% or 16.20 to $4,415.90 per troy ounce. In other commodities trading, crude oil for November delivery fell by 2.34% or 2.38 to $96.08 per barrel, while the November Brent oil contract declined by 1.56% or 1.63 to $103.19 per barrel.

The USD/RUB rate dropped by 0.11% to 84.42, and the EUR/RUB rate decreased by 0.27% to 96.72. Lastly, the US Dollar Index Futures dipped by 0.05% to 99.94.
