Glasgow witnessed Rangers secure another crucial victory over Celtic, a 1-0 win in an away match that injects fresh momentum into the Scottish Premiership title battle. While Celtic lead the table by two points, the tide has shifted in favor of Rangers after two decisive wins within a span of eight days.

Derek McInnes' Rangers dismantled their rivals with a convincing 3-0 triumph in a League Cup tie just the weekend prior. However, Celtic's recent performances have been lackluster, beginning with a disastrous start to their Europa League campaign, where they suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Ferencvaros on Thursday night. The absence of away supporters due to the restrictions may have changed the tide had Austin Trusty's well-placed volley, which hit the top corner, not been ruled out following an offside infringement by Liam Scales.
