PIA Passes Safety Audit Under New Chairman

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has successfully passed its first International Air Transport Association (IATA) safety renewal since the appointment of new chairman, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Anwar Ali Hyder. This marks the airline's 12th consecutive IOSA registration, which remains valid until September 11, 2028. The latest renewal was announced after Hyder took charge, following a Risk-Based IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) conducted in June 2026.

The audit evaluated PIA across critical aspects of its operations, such as flight operations, cabin operations, ground handling, and cargo services, against internationally acknowledged aviation safety and operational standards. PIA has hailed this milestone, attributing the success to its dedicated workforce, who excelled in the assessment and adhered to the stringent requirements.
