PAPS 2026 concludes with over 300,000 visitors

The Pakistan International Auto Show (PAPS) 2026 concluded in Lahore after welcoming over 300,000 visitors across three days, showcasing leading automobile manufacturers, auto-part producers, dealers, industry experts, government representatives, and automobile enthusiasts. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the exhibition, which featured prominent manufacturers and auto-parts companies.

Several brands unveiled new models, such as BYD, Chery, JAC, and Suzuki, captivating visitors and automotive enthusiasts alike. High-ranking officials from both the Punjab and federal governments, including Punjab Minister Bilal Yasin, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, and Haroon Akhtar Khan, visited the expo. The PAPS 2026 Gala Dinner, attended by the Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, gathered government officials, business leaders, diplomats, manufacturers, and industry representatives.

An automotive industry symposium held during the event allowed key players to discuss the latest technologies, innovation, localization, manufacturing capabilities, and emerging trends in the sector. Usman Aslam Malik, Chairman PAAPAM, emphasized the significance of the automotive and auto-parts sector for Pakistan's economic growth, stressing the importance of localization for job creation and industrial upgrading.
