On camera: Sikh driver assaulted, beard pulled before bus hijacked in UK

A Sikh bus driver was assaulted, his beard pulled, and the vehicle he was operating stolen in Telford, England, according to West Mercia police. The incident was captured on camera and has since gone viral. A 33-year-old suspect, identified as Ali Balhad and a Yemeni national, is accused of driving the bus in the wrong direction, hitting multiple vehicles.

The suspect was apprehended at the scene and faces charges of robbery and dangerous driving. The Sikh driver sustained minor injuries and was treated by paramedics. West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses and footage of the incident, particularly from dashcam, CCTV, and mobile phone or doorbell cameras in the Court Street, Park Way, and High Street areas around the time of the assault.
