Iran has outlined three conditions to the United States for restarting peace talks, stating that threats will not yield positive results. Supreme National Security Council secretary Mohsen Rezaei revealed these conditions to Al Jazeera in an exclusive interview. According to Rezaei, Iran is awaiting a response from US President Donald Trump regarding the conditions.

The conditions entail the cessation of warfare on all fronts, the release of Iran's frozen funds, and the termination of the naval blockade imposed by the US. Rezaei emphasized that it is in Washington's best interest to accept these conditions, dismissing Trump's threats as ineffective, and warned that Iran is prepared for a decisive war if necessary.

Moreover, Iran is also gearing up for potential future US strikes, shifting its military planning to target US naval assets in the Gulf, the Gulf of Oman, and the Arabian Sea. Rezaei disclosed that Iran recently test-fired a multi-warhead anti-ship missile near a US vessel or aircraft carrier and cautioned that any retaliatory action from Iran would involve US bases and American commercial interests in the region.

Concurrently, Rezaei expressed Iran's willingness to resume diplomacy to bring the conflict to a swift conclusion, noting that Qatar and Pakistan have been engaged in efforts to restart negotiations between Washington and Tehran after their previous memorandum of understanding expired. Concerning the nuclear issue, Rezaei stated that Iran has not decided to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, but warned that further sanctions or a referral of its nuclear file to the UN Security Council could prompt Tehran into withdrawing.

Iran also maintains an open stance towards an agreement with Oman over the Strait of Hormuz, as the two sides had nearly reached an agreement before it was abandoned. These remarks come as the US grapples with its next strategic move in the conflict, with Trump reportedly considering a significant military response against Iran.
