‘No technique’: Sooryavanshi will not succeed in all formats, says ex-ENG bowler

Former England bowler Monty Panesar has warned that Sooryavanshi's technique may limit his ability to succeed across all cricket formats. The 15-year-old Indian star, who made his T20I debut in July, has made an impressive impact in the IPL, quickly becoming a T20 specialist. However, Panesar suggests that Sooryavanshi's current technique may make it difficult for him to transition to Test cricket.

Panesar told the Beyond23 Cricket Podcast that he does not see Sooryavanshi making the move to Test cricket, stating that only Harry Brook currently has the necessary technique to do so. However, ex-Australia captain Michael Clarke disagrees with Panesar's assessment, citing examples of modern cricket stars like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, who have excelled in both Test and T20 cricket.

Clarke believes that Sooryavanshi could potentially succeed in all formats, but ultimately, it will depend on his willingness and ability to adapt his technique.
