Netanyahu tours tunnels underneath Al-Aqsa Mosque compound

Doha, Qatar - The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Israeli Minister of National Security and settlers, backed by occupation police. The act, described as a "flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law," has provoked outrage among millions of Muslims worldwide.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Al-Aqsa Mosque is exclusively a place of worship for Muslims and stressed that any unilateral measures aiming to alter Jerusalem's historical and legal status are unlawful under international law. The ministry cautioned that such violations and provocations could exacerbate violence and instability in the region, threatening prospects for peace.

Qatar reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and called for urgent international action to halt Israel's ongoing violations against the Palestinian people and their holy sites, urging compliance with relevant international resolutions. The ministry also reaffirmed its steadfast backing for the Palestinian people's right to an independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
