Mayawati Rules Out Akash Anand's Return To BSP, Chooses Ishan For Party Role

Lucknow: BSP leader Mayawati has stated that her nephew Akash Anand and his sister will not receive any party responsibilities, while Ishan Anand, the son of Anand Kumar, will be given an organizational role and promoted within the Bahujan Samaj Party. In social media updates, Mayawati clarified her decision to focus on political experience rather than familial ties.

She emphasized Kanshi Ram's commitment to the Bahujan community, despite keeping relatives away from political advantages. Mayawati, inspired by Kanshi Ram, vowed to dedicate her life to the party. As a woman, she noted the necessity of keeping a sibling close, with Anand Kumar's support being a factor. Akash Anand's entry into politics was initially sanctioned by his father, but his subsequent actions led to his estrangement from the party.

Mayawati accused Akash of succumbing to his father-in-law's influence and warned that bringing him back would be a betrayal. She deliberated on the future role of Anand Kumar's family members, ultimately choosing Ishan Anand for a respected position, while cautioning that any breach of party interests would result in expulsion. No other family member would receive party responsibilities, and instead, a devoted, loyal Dalit worker would be promoted.
