'Major Recruitment Event Every Week, One Lakh Youth To Get Government Jobs In 6 Months': UP CM Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a fierce attack on the Opposition party, accusing them of lacking the ability to bring change and calling for an end to their hypocrisy. He emphasized that those who failed to transform Uttar Pradesh into a thriving state must now remain silent regarding the state's police system and administrative processes.

The Opposition allegedly continued counting appointments while the administration pressed on, recently distributing job offers to 818 youth and promising weekly recruitment events to place one lakh more within six months. Addressing the appointment ceremony of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board's Clerical Cadre Direct Recruitment-2023 at Lok Bhawan, the Chief Minister congratulated the newly selected candidates, stating that their appointment was not only a triumph for the individuals but also a testament to public trust in the government.

He lamented the pre-2017 recruitment process plagued by nepotism, irregularities, and widespread corruption, resulting in the disenchantment of the youth. Chief Minister Adityanath credited the reforms initiated post-2017 for ushering in transparency, efficiency, and merit-based appointments, resulting in more than nine and a half lakh youth benefitting from government employment opportunities.

The Chief Minister highlighted the UP Police's role in transforming the state into a curfew-free and mafia-free region, as districts and towns now experience peaceful celebrations, VVIP visits, and vibrant festivals. He also mentioned the significant reduction in vacancies in the UP Police force following the implementation of a transparent recruitment process and the enactment of stringent laws to curb unfair recruitment practices.
