Lagos mechanic lured with car repair job killed inside bush

A mechanic named Samson was murdered in the Abijo area of Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, after being lured with a promise of repairing a Mercedes-Benz. According to a police source, Samson, who owned a workshop near Warike Estate, accepted the job and traveled to the site where the car was parked. Upon arrival, he was taken into the bush and killed.

Police are investigating the incident, suspecting cultists were involved. An anti-cultism advocacy group stated that Samson's murder was a retaliation for the killing of an Eiye member named Ola Sheu, who was killed by another cult group on September 9. The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the murder, but the family of the victim is still trying to locate Samson.
