Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim has indicated that a preliminary report on Felda's management issues and losses will be announced next week, according to <source>. The report is not intended to seek revenge, but rather as one of the government's efforts to address problems within the agency, following legal processes. Anwar emphasized that he does not have the authority to determine who is investigated, charged, or punished, as these matters must be decided freely by the relevant institutions.

Speaking at the Reformist Founders Hi-Tea Reunion at the Selangor International Trade Centre (SITC), Anwar said, "What is this about revenge? About abusing power? I cannot speak to the accuser, or give insight to the judge. The chief judge has full freedom and power to decide." The government spends RM980 million each year to cover the agency's losses, Anwar stated, adding that the government is also concerned about Felda's management, following the discovery that agency headquarters across the country were not well maintained for decades, with RM450 million spent to repair Felda headquarters nationwide.

The Special Committee on Felda, which was reportedly set up last June to review the 2025-2030 strategic plan for the agency, is expected to present an interim report on improvement proposals to the prime minister next week. The committee, composed of several key government advisors, has held several meetings with relevant parties, including Felda management, to investigate issues related to the FGV Holdings Bhd nomination and management weaknesses in the acquisition and investment of eight assets, as mentioned in the White Paper presented in the Dewan Rakyat in April 2019.
