I dare gov’t to extradite me; they can never do it – Ghana Jollof speaks

Barbara Asantewaa Kodua, widely known as 'Ghana Jollof' on TikTok, has boldly declared her defiance of the Ghanaian government's attempts to extradite her from the United Kingdom. The Ghana Police Service has accused Ms Kodua of inciting violence and spreading false news via her TikTok account. Ms Kodua, residing in the UK, has vehemently rejected the possibility of extradition, stating that no law would allow it.

She challenged the government to use extradition proceedings to bring her back, claiming there is no legal basis for doing so. Ms Kodua asserted that she would not return to Ghana through any extradition process, though she maintained the option to return voluntarily. Her assertions come as the police continue their investigation into the alleged content published through her TikTok account, which they deem offensive, inciting, and a fabrication capable of instilling fear.

Meanwhile, Salomey Awity Baffoe, a Senior Nursing Officer, has been remanded into custody for two weeks by the Adenta Circuit Court 1 in Accra. She is accused of facilitating the spread of the content posted by the 'Ghana Jollof' TikTok account. However, Ms Kodua maintains that the nurse, whose husband is an active member of the opposition party, has not shared her content on social media and that her arrest is a case of political persecution.
