Gunnar Smith, Jamell James and Yohan-Li Louis lead offense in 52-27 win over William & Mary

Fordham's offense shone brightly as Gunnar Smith, Jamell James, and Yohan-Li Louis combined to lead the Rams to a 52-27 victory over William & Mary on Saturday. Smith found the end zone thrice with his passing, while James added three more touchdowns on the ground. Early in the fourth quarter, Louis delivered a stunning 57-yard touchdown run, marking the first time a Ram player had rushed for over 200 yards since 2023.

By halftime, the Rams had already extended their lead to 21-0, with Smith connecting on touchdown passes to KJ Reed and John Morris, along with Morris' own 5-yard touchdown run. James' 12-yard touchdown run further widened the gap to 38-14 late in the third quarter. Louis' 57-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter sealed the outcome, as he finished with an impressive 203 rushing yards.

Fordham's 52 points were the highest scored by the team since their 52-point win against Colgate in 2022. The Tribe, led by Winston Watkins, threw for 286 yards and two touchdowns, while Andrew King added 122 rushing yards and a score.
