Florida Atlantic defense comes up big to help beat Florida International 16-10

Florida Atlantic's defense played a crucial role in their 16-10 win over Florida International, according to the Associated Press. Quarterback Collin Rogers contributed to the victory by making three out of four field-goal attempts. The Owls also secured three turnovers in the first quarter, which proved decisive in their win. Despite Robert Czeremcha's 36-yard field goal for Florida International putting the Panthers ahead with 13:28 remaining in the game, the Owls managed to keep the Panthers' offense off the board on their final three drives.

Florida Atlantic's Leonard Farrow scored on a 4-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter, followed by two interceptions by quarterback JJ Kohl that led to two touchdowns for the Owls. Caden Veltkamp had a strong performance for Florida Atlantic with 202 passing yards and no interceptions. Chris Tooley III, Bo Simpson-Nealy, and Jonathan Bax each intercepted Florida International's quarterback.

Florida International's quarterback, Kohl, completed 22 of 43 passes for 262 yards. The Owls will next play at Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday, while Florida International will host Long Island on the same date.
