Eye screening camp held for retired defence personnel

L&T, in collaboration with Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital, organized an eye screening camp for retired defence personnel at CGHS Polyclinic-I near the city's railway station on Saturday. Sponsored by L&T as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, the camp screened 130 patients, with 80 beneficiaries receiving free spectacles.

The camp was officially opened by N.J. Murthy, Head of Department, Finance and Accounts at L&T, accompanied by Captain C.G. Raju, Officer-in-Charge of CGHS Polyclinic, and representatives from both L&T and Sankar Foundation. Mr. Murthy praised the eye-care services provided by Sankar Foundation and pledged ongoing support for enhancing access to quality eye care.
