EuroLeague SuperCup: Real Madrid get some revenge on Olympiacos in Abu Dhabi

Real Madrid claimed victory in the inaugural EuroLeague SuperCup, defeating Olympiacos Piraeus at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Saturday night. This success marked a change from last May's EuroLeague final, when Olympiacos triumphed over Madrid. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot was the leading scorer for Madrid with 12 points, four rebounds, and two assists, while Facundo Campazzo contributed five rebounds and nine assists despite scoring only seven points.

In other EuroLeague news, Fenerbahce secured third place after defeating Dubai Basketball 85-77, with Wade Baldwin's leadership and Talen Horton-Tucker's 23-point performance driving the comeback. Meanwhile, EuroLeague CEO Chus Bueno addressed potential collaboration with the NBA, stating that no formal proposal has been received from the NBA, despite NBA commissioner Adam Silver expressing interest in a "once-in-forever" partnership.

Bueno emphasized the league's openness to exploring any concrete proposals from the NBA, reiterating the mutual belief in collaboration to strengthen European basketball.
