EPL: Making those changes can affect Arsenal players mentally – Aguero warns Arteta

Sergio Aguero, a former Manchester City player, has expressed concern over Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta's squad rotation strategy in the Premier League and Champions League this season. The Manchester City legend believes that the frequent changes can negatively impact players' mental well-being if not executed correctly. Aguero noted that the approach is similar to the one employed by Pep Guardiola, with the City manager having rotated players like Kompany, Otamendi, Bernardo Silva, Gundogan, Mahrez, Sterling, and Sane between domestic and European competitions.

Aguero emphasized that there is nothing inherently wrong with Arsenal's proposed strategy, as it enables players to gain valuable experience from competing at the highest levels. However, he cautioned that when players are in good form, making such changes can have a detrimental effect on their mental state. Aguero stressed that it is crucial for Arteta to handle the rotation properly, as it would then be a reasonable approach for both the team and its players.
