Bridgeman wins PGA Biltmore title with sizzling 61

Jacob Bridgeman clinched victory in the PGA Biltmore Championship on Sunday, defeating fellow American Ben James by two strokes. Bridgeman posted an impressive scoring total of 26-under par 258, two strokes ahead of James' 260. The 26-year-old Bridgeman, hailing from Inman, South Carolina, bagged his second PGA crown, following his first success in February at Riviera.

After birdieing four of the last six holes, Bridgeman claimed a two-shot lead, which he never relinquished. His extraordinary performance included eight birdies and an eagle across 72 holes. Bridgeman expressed his emotions, saying, "It was super cool, it was awesome. I felt like I had all my family and friends cheering for me. It was pretty neat.

I'm super pumped." The achievement marks a significant moment for Bridgeman, who will represent the United States in the upcoming Presidents Cup at Medinah. James held his position at the top with a score of 260, followed by Ricky Castillo and Neal Shipley, both tied at 263. Other Americans, J.T. Poston and Jackson Koivun, shared fifth place with a score of 263.
