BJP-RSS have hollowed out the education system, Rahul Gandhi standing with students: Congress

The accusation came after Gandhi alleged that a "rotten system" had seized control of the country, discouraging students from questioning authority and instead seeking blind followers.

This statement was made during Gandhi's youth outreach program, Chhatron Ki Goonj, in Indore, a BJP stronghold, where he engaged with young participants on issues of education, job recruitment, and employment.

Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh shared Gandhi's post on X, stating that Gandhi had "revealed the secret of this system that has been suppressing students." The system, he claimed, is controlled by the BJP-RSS and has corrupted the education sector, making it hollow and corrupt. Gandhi argued that the BJP-RSS fears students who ask questions and demand accountability, as they represent a challenge to their control over various aspects of the country's political, institutional, and economic life.

Gandhi emphasized that students remain curious, question authority, and seek answers about institutions, recruitment, examinations, and opportunities, while supporters of the "system" lack these qualities and instead spread hatred. The Congress leader's visit to Indore followed RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's interaction with 1,700 Gen-Z participants at the Yuva Dharma Sansad in Ujjain on September 18, and BJP president Nitin Nabin's launch of a government scheme in Indore on September 17, 2026.
