U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer is also expected to join the meeting, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a balanced trade with China.

The two leaders are anticipated to discuss artificial intelligence, an expiring trade agreement, and critical minerals during the summit. Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna believes that AI should be the primary agenda item to establish basic standards, including international monitoring and enforceable tools.
