Angel Reese Becomes First WNBA Player to Accomplish This Historic Feat

In her third season with the Atlanta Dream, star player Angel Reese is making waves and setting records in the WNBA. Reese made history recently by becoming the first woman in WNBA history to reach the 500 rebound mark in a single season. This incredible feat was achieved during her team's game against her former squad, the Chicago Sky, where Reese continued her impressive form by scoring 23 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, dishing out four assists, blocking three shots, and recording two steals.

She notched her 500th rebound, a remarkable accomplishment that showcases her dedication and hard work in the frontcourt. With only two games remaining in the regular season, Reese's 505 total rebounds put her on track to break major records, currently sitting behind Tina Charles and Nneka Ogwumike. If she continues her strong performance for the next few seasons, Reese has a strong possibility of taking over the top spot in the all-time rebounding charts.

Currently, the Dream are fourth in the WNBA standings, sitting at 28-14, just a half game ahead of the Indiana Fever and a half game behind the Las Vegas Aces. The Dream will face the New York Liberty on Monday, September 21, and close out their regular season with a second game against the Liberty on Wednesday, September 23.
