Agriculture Minister directs emergency food aid to Kalabsha village

The Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister, Alaa Farouk, has directed an emergency food aid convoy to reach Kalabsha village in Aswan Governorate, providing support to approximately 750 families. The convoy, as reported by the Ministry, carried significant supplies of essential food items and commodities, alongside large quantities of poultry. This distribution is being done entirely free of charge to the village inhabitants, aiming to alleviate their living burdens and address their immediate needs.

In addition to the food provisions, the convoy also featured a team of engineers and technical experts. These specialists are tasked with repairing and maintaining water pumps, which is crucial for restoring clean water supplies and ensuring regular irrigation for the village's crops. Immediate repairs on non-operational pumping and irrigation systems are already underway.

This swift response by the Ministry underscores its ongoing commitment to assisting village residents following the recent transition of administrative authority for the village to the Aswan Governorate. The Ministry has pledged to maintain monitoring teams on the ground until all eligible families receive the allocated food aid and until all services, including water supply and irrigation, are fully operational.
